How Team Coaching can Boost your Corporate Success

Why Team Coaching?

Nowadays, coaching is everywhere – which, in my book, is both a blessing and a curse.

A blessing because, on the one hand, awareness of the need for coaching is constantly growing – especially when it comes to improving the overall collaboration between employees in a (real estate) company.

A curse, because on the other hand, people more readily get the impression that the absolute omnipresence of coaching results in greater difficulties in acknowledging the massive benefits it has to offer in our modern business world.

To be very honest: I’m not here to impress upon you that team coaching is the magic bullet you’ll need to achieve ultimate corporate success. That would be unrealistic and would have little to do with the everyday reality in the real estate companies I’ve gotten to know.

There are companies that rely on coaching – and achieve no measurable success with it.

There are companies where coaching is not an issue – because they simply don’t see the need and may be perfectly fine without it.

However: After multiple years in the field, I’ve come to understand that these tend to be exceptions to the rule.

What Team Coaching does…

…and how you can Reap Its Benefits

What became clear to me a long time ago: The vast majority of (real estate) companies that rely on high-quality team coaching benefit considerably from the numerous positive effects associated with it.
Better communication
Employees interact with one another in a much more respectful, constructive way. Real eye level is key – and proves to be a tangible benefit for everyone involved.
Greater involvement
Teams are actively included in various (decision-making) processes, e.g. when it comes to restructuring or the like. This may manifest itself in qualitative 1 on 1 interviews with employees – resulting in a positive feeling of self-determination and participation in what makes the company thrive.
Higher productivity
Teams displaying higher levels of satisfaction tend to be more productive, efficient, and yes, happy! It’s not just about measuring performance – it’s all about laying the foundation for teams to perform at their peak. Long-term corporate success is the logical consequence…
Promoted leadership skills
By means of effective coaching, managers/executives can be strengthened in their skills to achieve the best possible collaboration within the team and, as a respected leader, form a point of contact for employees whom they trust and confide in whenever the going gets tough.
Increased customer satisfaction
A positive dynamic within the company will automatically lead to more positive feedback on the outside. In two respects: Efficient, motivated teams produce higher quality work, which in turn leads to higher customer satisfaction. At the same time, coherent, harmonious teams are bound to make a much more positive impression on their company’s clients by embodying one core message: “We are one!“
